Hi! I’m Rachel Ramsay. I started teaching young children’s Colourstrings music classes in 2014, and have a music degree and an MA in Arts Management. I have worked in Music Education for over 10 years, mainly as a Project Manager for a music festival in London. I play piano and saxophone, and sing with the City of Canterbury Chamber Choir. I also teach for Britten’s Music in Tunbridge Wells, and have had experience of teaching in an infant school and in nurseries.
I love working with babies and young children and really enjoy seeing the small successes of each individual child, from the first time they smile in class, to when they sing a whole song. Each child takes their own unrushed journey, and I can’t wait to see where they are in a few years’ time. I hope to be part of your child’s journey too.

I’m a mum of two Colourstrings educated children. Seeing the progress they have made in their Colourstrings sessions since they were tiny has given me real insight into the approach and a total belief in the musical and other learning benefits it can give.
